Madeleine BARBRU is an experienced professional with a diverse educational background and a wealth of experience in various organizations.

She holds a Master of Arts in European Studies from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and a Bachelor's Degree in Tourism Management from the University of Stavanger (UiS). Additionally, she studied International Environmental Politics, International Terrorism, and Stability Operations at the University of Oslo (UiO), as well as Intercultural Communication and Cultural Psychology at Telemark University College (HiT). Her academic pursuits also included language studies in Spanish and Examen Philosophicum.

With a strong academic foundation, Madeleine has held several key roles in esteemed organizations. Currently, she serves as a Senior Advisor at the Norwegian Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority. Her previous positions include Advisor at the same authority, roles at the University of Oslo and Oslo University Hospital in Clinical Effectiveness Research, and service at Amer Sports Corporation as an Arc'teryx dealer for Norway and Denmark.

Moreover, Madeleine has contributed her expertise to humanitarian causes through her work at the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, focusing on policy support, nuclear emergency preparedness, and as a Senior Assistant. She has also been involved in research at the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research and gained valuable experience during her time as a Trainee at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Bratislava.
