LinkedIn too serious for a little F1 fun? It is the first race week of the 2024 Formula 1 season and I thought a fun way to teach people about how Pitlane Picks works would be to use social media polls to play an F1 pick'em game in public. Let's see how this goes...
Building things I want to see in the world is fun, but showing them to you all and promoting them is scary and often embarrassing (hopefully that means I haven't waited too long to "launch"). But here it goes...
For a few months I have been building a fantasy Formula 1 pick'em app. It started as a Google Spreadsheet in 2022, then moved to a website last season, and now is a mobile app for anyone to use. You can find it here: https://lnkd.in/gdK6DkiA
I have to say, tools that help software builders are insane now. I would have never been able to get an app like this off the ground in a few months without tools like OpenAI, Supabase, OneSignal, or RevenueCat. Sure, AI tools can supercharge an A-level developer, but they can also turn me into a reasonable developer (arguably more impressive 😂).
Still waiting for the tool that makes me a reasonable designer though...
