WHAT IF WE ARE WRONG THAT PROGRESS = CONSTANT GROWTH?
This was one of a number of provocative questions posed by Judith Haupt this morning in a conversation around the need for feminine leadership in the world today. Indeed ... if progress were't defined as the need for never ending expansion, what might it be? I don't know the answer ... but its a radical thought.
Meryl Barends and I were out of the office today attending another fabulous breakfast event by HRworks - Adria Bulpitt. I played the MC role and Judith spoke so simply, eloquently, and challenged so much.
Congrats to Jorika Slabber (HRP) who won a copy of Multipliers by Liz Wiseman - a book we at thoughtsmiths recommend that leaders of today need to read.
This pic below was my view from the MC spot - a fabulous group of HR practitioners keen on shifting their workplaces in positive ways. Great to see you Noori Allie, Rob McKelvie, Suné Pienaar, Cindy Neethling, Lianne Booth, Lynette Anderson BCom, MBA, Cezanne Joynt CLMP, Glynnes Oldjohn-Manuel, Shivani Naidoo, Colleen Langston, NURAAN HENDRICKS ISMAIL, Shireen Pillay, Prabashnie Munsami 💙 and Danika du Toit.
