June was busy and exciting!

We had the incredible opportunity to connect with Broadcast Music, Inc. (BMI), Audiomack! Shot some great content with the likes of MajorStage & Chinatown Sounds and participated in unforgettable live PAs with EMPIRE & Paramount. The trip was rounded up with the BET Awards 2024, which never disappoints.

Another great month ✨

Major thanks to Simmy Kanda for capturing all our content over 3 weeks, always a brilliant creative to work with!

This will forever shake me to my core.

I remember the night I found out she had passed. I had been trying to contact her all day and couldn’t get through. This was unlike Nicole, she was so on the ball and always on her phone. I thought it was odd but shrugged it off as nothing.

I was Nicole’s manager. We were so excited about her delving into ‘Mummy’ influencing & we had so much lined up. Her tenacity and passion were second to none, she loved her community & most importantly was so excited to become a Mum.

Yesterday we released the story via The Independent about what happened to Nicole. It still pains me to think, this could have been avoided. Why are black women FOUR times more likely to die during pregnancy? It is scary beyond belief to think things like this happen due to negligence, medical gaslighting and in some cases being denied pain relief! We have received hundreds and hundreds of messages from sympathisers, women who have similar stories and we are both moved & shocked!

This isn’t acceptable.

I share this here for two reasons; no one ever teaches you how to deal with the death of a client. I found it tough dealing with all the press and all the rumours. You want to grieve but you have to be professional. Those of us that have managed people are more than just managers, we become part of their family, part of their day-to-day. Our job is not easy. My second reason is around legacy. Being a decent human being will take you a long way. Nicole left an impression on me that I will never ever forget. She was a rare diamond and I am so heartbroken that she and baby Reign never got a chance.

Business is important, but always strive to be human first. We feel for a reason.

I want to use this opportunity to thank Five X More Atinuke Awe Clotilde Rebecca Abe for sharing your comments on the article and want to use this opportunity to thank people/organisations like Birthrights, Sandra Igwe , MBA, Zoe Munson, Candice Brown Brathwaite, Mars Lord, Faye Bruce, Sanisha Wynter, Global Black Maternal Health, Students for Black Maternal Health, Shereen Daniels 🇬🇧🇯🇲🇬🇾, Trishna Bharadia, BA(hons), MFPM(Hon), Adelaide Appiah, MPH and many many more who continue to fight for justice in this space.

We would also like to thank the community who are keyed into the news regarding Nicole & Reign! The video has already been viewed over 100,000 times and has been shared all across the world.

The journey continues. We are fighting for justice and we want answers #justiceforreignthea

Continue to rest in perfect peace Nicole and Reign
