Use AI to amplify your authentic connections to AI-proof your life and work
We have reached a point where AI is becoming an important thread in the fabric of life and work.
At the outset, interacting with AI is convenient at all levels. Here are some super basic reasons (in no particular order)
AI is always on for you - ready at your service 24x7 AI has no emotions - doesn’t get angry or upset with you even if you get angry or upset AI doesn’t get bored - you can ask AI to repeat the same thing a dozen times AI is not moody - there is no need for any explanation here AI doesn’t get sick - no off days AI is available at your fingertips - available at the push of a button AI is almost all-knowing - like having encyclopaedia at your hands
Compare that to interacting with another human being. It seems like you have to do “extra work” to initiate, build and maintain relationships with other human beings.
Is it worth the “effort”?
If you answered “Yes” to the above question, you may not admit it, you fell into the trap.
Why because labeling or categorizing this as “effort” is questionable - to be loved and cared by another human being and to love and care for another human being is what makes us human.
Yes, we can’t make another human being do things by pushing a button. However, push how many ever buttons you want on a machine and while the machine might follow your commands to perfection, it can never make you feel what another human can make you feel. It can never make you feel you matter. It can never bring tears of joy because of how the one other human being went out of the way to show their love and care.
What is the ask here?
As you thoughtfully evaluate and consider how to use AI, make it a top priority to use AI to amplify those authentic connections - to initiate,, build and maintain long-term relationships
Why?
Because these long-term relationships are what makes a human human. That is probably one asset that will help you AI-proof your life and work.
