Ross Smith

Associate Professor at University of South Australia

Ross Smith is the Director of the Wearable Computer Laboratory and a tenured Senior Lecturer at the University of South Australia.

He specializes in developing electro-mechanical prototypes for new forms of human-computer interaction using rapid prototyping technologies.

His research interests include deformable surfaces, virtual/augmented/mixed reality, input device development, and user interface design.

Ross Smith holds a Master's degree in Locksmithing, a PhD in Computer Science, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of South Australia.

Throughout his career, he has held various positions at the University of South Australia including Associate Professor, Co-Director, Deputy Director, Senior Lecturer, and Lecturer.

He has also worked as a Visiting Associate Professor at the Nara Institute of Science and Technology and as a Research Fellow.

Prior to his academic career, Ross Smith gained experience as a Master Locksmith at Carey's Locksmiths.
