Highlights
Well, last Friday was my last day at Weber! After 7.5 years with the June Oven team, which morphed into the Weber Connect team, I am done.
I left behind an excellent group of humans. Together we shipped 3 generations of June Oven, 1 portable, 3 grill controllers, 4 apps, 2 clouds, 4 ML models, 2 ETA algorithms, 1 software update system, and 6 generations of Smart Recipe content creation & distribution systems. We even dabbled in an ML image annotation system back before startups had good solutions.
I'm confident that in my absence the team will continue to create great products that help people have fun grilling and cooking with less stress and better results. They're excellent and they know what they're doing.
But I needed to try something new. What that thing is, I'm not sure yet. So I'll be figuring that out as my full-time job for a while. What I do know is that right now is an amazing time in the industry to start something new! I'm excited about what could be next!
