Is it just me or shouldn't banks be safe boring institutions, led by deeply risk averse, asset conservators, and staffed by people with a fanatical dedication to keeping our money safe. We seem to have evolved a system which places bankers at crazy exalted levels in society, motivated by reward systems that continually push the envelope until there is a systemic failure. Then the rest of us - the people who provide the money they play with - pay for the mess. A few band aid rules are set and the cycle repeats. OK rant over... back to actually creating stuff... #banks #society #people #money #financialcrime #riskmanagement #bankers
