Dr. Whitney Gaskins is a dedicated mentor, adviser, and community activist known for her philanthropic efforts and motivation.

In 2009, she established The Gaskins Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on educating and empowering the community.

Whitney's commitment to community involvement led her to become Miss Black Ohio in 2009 and serve as the Executive Director of the scholarship pageant for Ohio from 2010-2012.

She actively engages with the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) since 2003, holding various leadership positions including the 2013 Convention Planning Chairperson and currently serving as the Regional Advisory Board Chair for the Great Lakes Region.

Beyond NSBE, Whitney is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and the Links Incorporated, showcasing her dedication to community service.

Education plays a vital role in Whitney's life as she holds a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering/Engineering Education, an M.S. in Quantitative Analysis, and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering, all from the University of Cincinnati.

Professionally, she has worked as an engineering professional for esteemed companies like General Electric, Atricure, and Toyota.

Currently, Dr. Gaskins serves as the Assistant Dean of Inclusive Excellence and Community Engagement at the University of Cincinnati, leveraging her expertise and experience to drive positive change in the academic environment.
