Founder - Design Strategist - Community Builder

Isata Yansaneh is a brand and design strategist, researcher, and community builder with a background in applying structure to complex problems and offering strategic solutions for brands and cultural institutions.

With over a decade of experience in design thinking, economics, marketing, advertising, and experiential fields, Isata has worked at renowned companies like Time Inc. (now Meredith) and Condé Nast, where she served as the Strategy Director.

During her tenure at Condé Nast, Isata not only played a key role in building the strategy and client services practice for CNX but also launched The Women’s Network, the company's inaugural employee resources group, showcasing her community building and strategic skills.

Passionate about leveraging design to address social issues and foster brand loyalty, Isata believes in creating meaningful relationships between brands and their audiences through intentional and insightful approaches.

Isata holds an MS in Strategic Design and Management from Parsons School of Design and a BA in Economics from Spelman College. She is currently the Founder & Principal of Acts of Light, LLC.

Her previous roles include Director, Strategy and Accounts at Condé Nast, Fellow at XRC Labs, Marketing Manager at Time Inc., Associate Brand Manager at Time Inc., and other diverse positions in companies like Synapse, Daymon Worldwide, GIANT magazine, and State Street.
