Lisa Schipper

Stefan Schipper is an Environmental Social Science Research Fellow at the University of Oxford, specializing in climate change adaptation in developing countries with a focus on gender, religion, and culture.

He has extensive experience living and working in various regions across Central and South America, East and West Africa, and South and Southeast Asia.

Stefan is a Co-ordinating Lead Author for Chapter 18 of the IPCC's Sixth Assessment Report and serves as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the journal Climate and Development.

His educational background includes a PhD from the University of East Anglia, an MSc from the same university, a BSc from Brown University, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning for Higher Education from the University of Oxford.

He completed his International Baccalaureate at the French American International School in San Francisco, CA, and his grade school education at Ecole Bilingue de Berkeley.

Stefan is associated with the Stockholm Environment Institute and has held research positions at the Environmental Change Institute at the University of Oxford and the University of Vienna.
